Welcome back to another installment of the QCG Team Spotlight, where we take a look behind the scenes at the amazing professionals who make Queen Consulting Group a success. Today, we’d like to introduce you to one of our dedicated account managers, Katie Flynn.
Team Member: Katie Flynn
Role: Account Manager
With Team QCG since: April 2016
Q: What’s your favorite thing about your role?
A: One of my favorite things about my role is that every day is different. Sometimes I am in the office and other days I am out meeting with clients. There are always new challenges every day but that’s what keeps me on my toes and allows me to learn and ultimately grow in my position! I also love helping people and solving problems and this role allows me to do that.
Q: What’s your best QCG memory?
A: Where to begin!? I think my favorite QCG memory so far has been our annual summer extravaganza on a lake in CT. It was a beautiful sunny day filled with a BBQ, lawn games, boating and swimming! Oh, and s’mores too!
Q: What’s something you are surprisingly good at?
A: Cornhole – I just love this game! I used to play in a league when I lived in NYC and now it’s one of my favorite games to play, especially in the summer!
Q: What motivates you?
A: I’ve always been motivated by having a concrete goal to meet, and enough time to figure out a strong strategy for accomplishing it. I’m also motivated by ensuring that my clients get the best possible service at all times. My dad used to work for a Fruit and Produce company and about 15 years ago he was in a commercial for them with 1 line: “It’s about the service!” I think it’s safe to say this is where I get it from. Lastly, I’m motivated by being surrounded by bright, intelligent people who are not only great at what they do, but have fun while doing it!
Q: What’s something your QCG co-workers say about you?
A: I started working at QCG with my colleague, Shannon Allard. She describes me as “spontaneous, friendly and always likes a good challenge!”
Q: If you won an all-expenses-paid, dream vacation to anywhere in the world – where would you go and why?
A: This is a tricky one because I have so many places I’d like to travel to! I think a combined trip to New Zealand and Australia would be amazing. I’ve always wanted to travel to that side of the world to see the culture, sights as well as the food! I would love to hold a kangaroo and also snorkel the Great Barrier Reef!
