Welcome to the Queen Consulting Group Team Spotlight, where our team members share a little about themselves so you can learn more about the people who work tirelessly to match the best consultants with their ideal jobs.

Team member: Hayley Brown

Role: Client Delivery Specialist

With Team QCG since: April 2018

What’s your favorite thing about your role?

The versatility. I have my hands in a few different things at once, such as managing portal activity and recruiting. It’s a lot of work and very fast-paced. It keeps me on my toes each day because things are always changing. But that is something I truly enjoy!

What’s your best QCG memory?

Every time we get together outside of work, from Red Sox games to our annual Summer Kickoff party. We all work so incredibly hard throughout the week, so it’s really enjoyable when we can all take a step back, relax, and enjoy our downtime together. I’ve never worked for an organization before that valued that, so it’s been an awesome experience being able to develop friendships with my colleagues outside of the work setting.

What’s something you are surprisingly good at?

Organization. I’ve always been a maniac about organization and having a place for everything. I like things done in very specific ways, and I like when items have their own specific places. I have a desk calendar where every little detail is recorded for everything I do.

What motivates you?

The fear of failure or disappointment. I don’t want to disappoint anyone, or let anyone down, so I always go above and beyond to make sure I’m putting 110 percent into whatever I do.

What’s something your QCG coworkers say about you?

I’m always well dressed! There’s something about putting on an outfit you know you love, and are comfortable in, that gives you a little extra confidence boost and puts you in a good mood!

Where did you grow up?

I grew up on the North Shore, about 30-40 minutes north of Boston in Newburyport, MA. I may be biased, but it’s the cutest, most picturesque coastal New England town. My parents’ house is within walking distance of downtown and the waterfront, so growing up, we spent a lot of time boating, fishing, and doing anything we could on the water.

If you won an all-expenses-paid vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

I’d go to Thailand! I’d start in Chiang Mai and visit an elephant sanctuary and do some hiking. Then I’d go to Bangkok to experience some of the awesome street food and city life. Finally, I’d end the trip on the Phi Phi Islands/Krabi for some tropical R&R.

If you were trapped on a desert island, what book, movie, and album would you take?

Album: Jimmy Buffett’s “Son of a Son of a Sailor” album. My parents always had Jimmy playing on the stereo during summers growing up!

Movie: Frozen (and I’m not ashamed to admit it). I can’t help singing along whenever “Let It Go” comes on.

Book: Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng. I’m reading it now so that I can binge watch the series on Hulu and can actually follow along.

If you could learn a new skill in an instant, what would it be?

I’d learn to play either the piano or the violin! Fun fact – I love listening to classical music from time to time. My grandparents always had it playing in the background whenever I would visit as a child (that, or football). It’s such a fond memory I have, and I always found it soothing.

What’s your favorite breakfast food?

Monkey Bread! And a big bowl of fruit salad on the side.
